Homestudies Interviews Complete

We've been pretty busy the past few weeks! This past week we had our second and final homestudy interview with our social worker. Both interviews were quick and easy. No, she didn't check our closets and pantry.... It is probably much more thorough when you are going to be fostering older children.

Our agency has a nice way of preparing couples for the interviews by having you complete a 39 page questionnaire. Yes, wow I know. My impression was that these questions are normally asked during the homestudy interview which I guess explains why some homestudies take 4 hours. So we had more time to think about our answers and really be thorough. All our social worker really had to do was clarify certain answers and get a few more details.

Our social worker has already completed the paperwork and has turned it in to the agency for proofing. She's quick! We'll soon be getting a copy to look over and when everything looks right, it gets turned in for official approval.

It is starting to feel more and more real since we've gotten this far. The picture from above was taken on New Year's Eve and represents a new year of beginnings and committed love to each other. Thank you for thinking of us and praying for us.

I love the comment about the panty and older foster kids.... I wonder who told you those things.
BTW I didn't say they checked my closets, did I?
I am glad they went well!
