Part Two Completed Again

Well, we missed a couple of items in Part Two and had to get more information from past physicians than we thought so we have just re-submitted it! Maybe this will be it...

Once everything is approved we are assigned a social worker to begin the homestudy interviews. We're hoping to complete one before the new year!

We've also begun taking the six online classes required by our agency that discuss different key aspects of adoption. Our first class: Understanding the Adoption Tax Credit. Yes! Our government will give you tax credits for qualifying adoption expenses. Hopefully, this will help us with some of the costs of adopting. Our domestic adoption will cost at least $16,000.

We believe God is going to provide the means to finance this adoption. It was a little scary starting this process not knowing where it would come from, but we knew if God was leading us, then He would make it happen. And as I've said before, as soon as we made that leap of faith, Eric received a major promotion at work. In addition, just recently my freelance workload suddenly increased and we have even more additional income. So just know that when you feel God directing you to do what seems difficult or impossible, you don't have to have it all figured out for Him. Just do! You'll get to watch Him perform the miracles.

Until the homestudies are complete, we cannot apply for any grants. If you would like to help us defray the initial costs of our adoption and feel LED to do so, we've added a donate button to this blog. We are aware that God sometimes leads people to help others in certain situations.

As a side: This picture was taken on a weekend trip we took to Florida to visit one of my best friends who just had her first child. I finally got to meet him and celebrate this precious gift with her.

I'm so glad I randomly saw this on FB! Girl, I am praying my heart out for you!

I miss you and hope to be able to see you soon (we have lots of germies in this house right now, so maybe after the holidays!)
